The Lotus Notes Client brings the full power of Lotus Domino Server to the desktop. In addition to remote isolated access to Domino applications, Lotus Notes also incorporates personal information management including email, calendars, group scheduling and task management in the guise of to-do's.

 

Silverlake's Lotus Notes Client Installation and Set-up service is designed to allow you to rollout Lotus Notes as your company standard for groupware applications and personal information management. As well as office-based access to server applications and data, Silverlake can enable remote access to allow your workforce to access company information even when isolated from your office computer systems.

 

As part of Lotus Notes implementation Silverlake will review your requirement identify the benefits and understand how you intend the end users to use the product in the work environment. With most Notes installations there are normally several types of user; those that are always office based, those that may work from different office locations and users that mostly work from home or are on the road frequently.

 

Each type of user will require a customised set-up that better suits his or her work environment, without compromising the collaborative advantages of notes. In addition to a standard set-up for each type of user there will also be standard Lotus Notes related work practice and policy guides required in regard to how they connect, how often they replicate security etc. Silverlake will offer guidance and advice in this area because we know that Lotus Notes will only deliver the full benefits if used correctly.

 

Once the standard configurations have been agreed (this may require a pilot project) Silverlake will plan and role out Lotus Notes throughout the organisation.
