System migrations are complex tasks and often constitute a high business risk should a system outage occur for any reason. We measure the success of our migration service in terms of the number of people who notice. With the exception of speed, in most cases, end users have no idea they are actually using a different system to the one they had previously. Using methods and processes developed over a number of years this is something we are confident in achieving every time. There are a number of different processes used to migrate a system including the following: One stage migration One stage + OS/400 upgrade Two stage Two stage + OS/400 upgrade In most cases the source system remains intact and provides a fall back position should an unforeseen problem, preventing the system from going live, occur. However, in situations where hardware has also been migrated and the source system is not functional, the on-site consultant will re-engineer the source system replacing the migrated features and using the full system saves recover the source system back to an operational status. 20 days support is provided for any migration related issues or questions. |
